Emmanuel Episcopal Church strives to honor God by nurturing the spirit and ministering to God's people.
Holy Baptism is the sacrament by which God adopts us as his children, makes us members of Christ’s body - the church – and heirs of the kingdom of God.
Through water and the Holy Spirit we are initiated or, brought into the living Body of Christ. That is why at Emmanuel baptisms are a part of our regular worship schedule on significant Sundays throughout the year. Baptism as sacrament, is an outward and visible sign of the inner reality of new life and of ones covenant with God.
Baptism also incorporates the new member into a particular community of faith as we exchange our vow and promise to uphold and support the newly baptized in their life in Christ. What a joy and gift it is to be able to watch children and families to grow in their lives of faith.
There will be a Baptismal preparation Class for all parents and godparents some time prior to the baptism.
Please call the church office about dates for baptisms and classes.
